Beryl's Chocolate Factory

The kids are so excited that we have planned this visit - of course - a chocolate factory .... the word chocolate has made their mouth water, they really don't know what they are in for! Parents, be forewarned that they will be bugging you that the trip is tomorrow, tomorrow ... till the day comes.
Lyssa had her sixth birthday party at school recenly. Mmm .... don't you think the cupcakes are so yummy. I am amazed at the talent of the baker who manages to draw Strawberry Shortcake's Face on the tiny cups .... wow.
Just to remind parents, we will be having a short break from 24th May to 1st June. We will be back at school on 2nd June 2008 hopefully recharged and raring to go.
We will be also meeting up with parents to discuss your child's performance since beginning of the year and any other matters pertaining your child's progress and development.
Till next time ...

Activities

Hello Parents
Yes, yes it's been a while but I am still alive and kicking. No excuses actually not to update the blog but really but I did have problems - I couldn't access the website and the camera broke ...
Of course we had a couple of birthdays which I couldn't record because of the reasons I mentioned above but here I have included some photos of children who celebrated their birthdays in the past month.
Heres Adieb Ramzy celebrating his 5th birthday, Aiman Hakim with his CARS cake celebrating his 5th birthday and Nuqman Aqeef celebrating his 4th birthday.

We would like to inform the following activities that will be taking place this year :-
1. Visit to Beryl's Chocolate Factory (4th June 2008, confirmed)
2. Visit to MPSJ Kompleks 3C at Subang Jaya - theres a mini zoo and art gallery there
3. Visit to Faber Castell or Walls factory (September)
I will be giving you notes about these visits in the children's message books nearer the date, so do look out for it.
Till the next blog - soon, I hope.

February 2008
Hello parents
We are now entering the second month of the year, all too soon. I am glad to inform that the children have settled down, most of the kinks have been ironed out.
Recently Muhd Miim celebrated his 3rd birthday party at school and lots of stuff were given in the goodie bag and the children were also treated to pulut kuning and rendang!
Speaking of goodie bag, I would like to share the following site : www.createmyowngift.blogspot.com just in case you are looking for some special things for birthday parties and even weddings.
Till more birthday parties .......

Standard 1 Registration
Hi Parents
Just to share with you, if your child turns 5 this year (irregardless in January or December 2008), you can enrol him or her at the school (Sekolah Kebangsaan) of your choice. This is to ensure your child can get in to that particular school as some schools practice first come first served basis.

By the way, Sara Khadeija celebrated her 3rd birthday (belated - should have been in December) recently. Seems that she wants to cut her cake with all her friends and to give away party packs, oh the novelty of party packs.
All the best.

Dyslexia
Hi Parents
It has been about 10 days of school now and we still have one or two children still missing mummy when they go to school, teardrops and resistance, a work out for Aunty Huda and company.
Which makes me wonder, how are the year ones doing at school? I don't think there are tantrums but I am sure they are going through a wavy period right now - what with the big crowd at school, more children in the same class and canteen! I believe canteen is the most exciting place to be at, at school and given the liberty to hold money, the real dollars and sen. Nothing like in play school. I do hope parents can share with me some of their child's first day experience, it will be interesting for those going to year one next year.
Yes, dyslexia - it is not a disease thus it cannot be cured, but it is a lifelong condition and with early intervention, most dyslexics can learn to read and write well.
Parents who are interested to know more can contact the following people from the Dyslexia Association of Malaysia : Teacher Rahmat at 019-2389657 or Teacher Jamilah at 016-3097829.
We also have some fliers at school for those who want to know more about it.

Welcome 2008
Hello parentsHappy New Year to everyone. It has been 3 days of school and I hope we have managed to iron off the holiday creases .... it's not easy to go back to school after the holidays ... don't we all know that.
After 2 days of crying, new kids get tired of it whilst the 'older' kids just close their ears wondering why all this is happening - some forgot that they had their fair share of drama too last year.
To add some merriment, out comes the masks! Dragon, bee, ladybird, rabbit, chick, octopus ..... hee hee hee .. the kids just love them. We hope this year will be merrier and more fun than last year.
Each year is a new experience with the children. It's so wonderful to see them grow physically and intellectually. It's like watching a flower bloom, from a bud to a full bloom flower. Let's hope our buds will mature, flower and develop strong roots to help them grow further.
Do check out the interesting websites that we list from time to time and let me know of any you wish to share with other parents.
