The school year 2009 has come to a close. Much has happened and we have seen the children blossom, the shy ones have come out of their shell, learning to make friends, those who are not able to read has progressed in their reading skills, many hands are now steady to produce nice writing.
All these skills are developed through play as we believe in the concept of 'play to learn'. Education does not evolve around books alone nor does it take place only at school, it can take place at the playground, at home, at the supermarkets and anywhere you take your children to. Expand their minds and vocabulary through communication and the child will learn that there is no boundary in learning.
We see the children moving one step at a time in the milestone of their lives and that is the beauty of child development. Children are individuals yearning to grow and do all the 'adult things' but they have to be guided and we at school, as educators try to provide as much support. Concurrently at home, parents help to nurture children by providing a conducive and positive home environment allowing room for development.
We hope for a more exciting 2010 and for those entering the 'big school', we wish them well and hope they will enjoy the next phase of their lives. Thanks to mums who have contributed food, drinks and snacks for our farewell party.
